Physician, LeConte Women's Healthcare AssociatesFull Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day ShiftPerinatal Center Overview:At Fort Sanders Perinatal Center, we're here for women with pregnancies that require extra care, and we're ready to help you make the best healthcare decisions from conception through delivery. For more than 25 years, we've provided comprehensive high-risk pregnancy services and delivered over 26,000 high-risk babies at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. We offer a range of care services for higher-risk pregnancies, including mothers over age 35, multiples, complications, birth defects, issues such as diabetes or hypertension, or pregnancies after infertility.Department Description:At LeConte Women's Healthcare Associates, we specialize in the treatment of the whole female patient across all stages of life – from birth control education, healthy hormone management, and annual exams to guiding you on your pregnancy journey. With more than 60 years of combined medical experience, our expert healthcare team is ready to provide you with excellent care. For women facing a high-risk pregnancy, we partner with the perinatologists at Fort Sanders Perinatal Center. We're located at LeConte Medical Center and are proud to be a member of Covenant Health.Position Summary:To assist the Medical Director and/or Nurse Practitioner in providing clinical services at HealthWorks.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, and consults with other specialists as required.Supervise clinical activities of all personnel, and assures treatment and/or plan of care is consistent with established protocols.Collaborate with the Case Manager(s) to maintain an effective case management process where applicableProvide assistance to the Director of Operations in the coordination and direction of the HealthWorks program as applicableCollaborate with the Director of Operations to assure integration of all clinical and administrative functions.Assures, in collaboration with Director of Operations, that clinic has met and addresses any compliance issues and manages risk management issues as applicable.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum Education:Must possess a MD, DO or equivalent degree and a current unrestricted Tennessee Medical License. Must have the ability to analyze situations and make appropriate decisions concerning confidentiality of information. Must also demonstrate good judgment relating to exposure follow-up recommendations. Must demonstrate skill at using appropriate desktop software, including work processing, spreadsheet, database and graphics applications as required. Must demonstrate effectiveness in working with multi-disciplinary teams. Must demonstrate in highest ethical and professional standards.Minimum Experience:A minimum of three (3) years experience as an Occupational Medicine physician with management/leadership experience is preferred.Licensure Requirement:Current unrestricted TN License. Board Certification in Occupational Medicine or equivalent is preferred.
