Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Description for Landscape Maintenance Crew LeaderPerform all aspects of residential and small scale commercial landscape maintenance including mowing and edging grass, weeding planted areas, pruning of landscape trees and shrubs, mulching of landscaped areas, applying fertilizer to landscape plants, installation of trees, shrubs and other landscape plants, maintenance of water features ( fountains, decorative ponds / waterfalls, etc and maintenance of low voltage night lighting systems. General landscape clean up and seasonal leaf removal. Any and all other work related to landscape maintenance. This is a hands on Crew Leader position. You will be leading a crew of 1-2 people.Basics SkillsExperience required in job description tasksMust be dependableMust be punctualWillingness to learn new skillsEnjoy outdoor work in all weather conditions year-round2-3 years experience preferredMust 21 years of age or olderMust have a valid NC Drivers License with clean driving recordMust be a good team memberOpportunity for advancementAble to operate mowing and other equipmentLandscape Maintenance Department Work HoursHours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.Hours may be longer in the spring and fall seasons and will bedetermined on a weekly basis by the landscape operations managerSeasonal work on Saturdays as neededDaily Responsibilities OverviewPunctualLoad equipment, tools and materials on company trucks and trailersDrive safely to job sitesUnload and reload trucks and or trailers on job sitesFollow directions from supervisor for each projectPerform all phases of landscape installation work depending on the projectRespectfully interact with customers as neededPick up materials and supplies when directedLearn and exhibit safe, proper operation of power tools and equipmentAssist with general housekeeping of the landscape operations areas at our officeComplete and submit daily work report summary and receipts for fuel or suppliesCompensation:Starting pay is $21-$22 per hour with an opportunity for advancement as skills are developed. All employees are paid hourly and are required to accurately maintain their time-card. Payroll is every two weeks. The time clock is located in the employee shop area. Lunch break is generally from 12-12:30pm. We recommend employees bring their lunch and drinks each day . Drive time to and from job sites is paid time. Any hours worked over (40) are paid at the overtime rate of time and a half.Benefits: All benefits become effective after ninety days of continuous full- timeemployment.One week paid vacation (5 days) after one year of full-time employment.Two weeks paid vacation (10 days) after two years of full-time employment.Six paid holidays401k Retirement Plan with company match.401k Profit Sharing Plan.Term Life Insurance Policy (paid 100% by company),Health Insurance plan (the company pays 50% of the employee coverage).Company uniforms are available through a uniform service.
