Job ID: 7228231Location: SALT LAKE CTY, UT, USType: CONTRACTORPosted: 2026-08-20Come build your career with Volt – where your skills matter, your growth is our mission, and opportunity is just the beginning.Volt is immediately hiring Info Security Sys Engineer at Salt Lake City, UtahAs an Info Security Sys Engineer, you will be responsible for:Execute and support RMF lifecycle activities (categorization, control selection, implementation, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring)Develop, maintain, and review RMF documentation (e.g., SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, Security Plans)Interpret and apply security controls from NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and related guidanceSupport implementation and validation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other configuration baselinesCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (systems, software, hardware) to ensure security requirements are properly implementedInterface with internal stakeholders, Authorizing Officials (AOs), and external assessors to support authorization effortsTrack and report compliance status, risks, and remediation activities to program leadershipContribute to continuous monitoring strategies and ongoing system complianceThis is a 12 Month full-time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity.Clearance: DoD Secret ClearanceWhat We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or related field with minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.One DoD 8140 / 8570-compliant certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, SSCP, GSEC), or ability to obtain within 6 months of hirePreferred Additional Skills:Exposure to cryptographic systems, FIPS 140-3, or NSA certification processesExperience with high-assurance or classified systemsHands-on experience executing RMF within DoD environmentsFamiliarity with tools such as eMASS or XACTAExperience applying NIST SP 800-53 security controls and STIGsExperience supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) processesStrong technical writing and documentation skillsPay Range: $60-65/hr.*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
