Staff Accountant

DescriptionAmanda Warren with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a multi-entity accounting team supporting senior living operations in Redding, California. This role is suited for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, manages deadlines effectively, and brings strong knowledge of month-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate will contribute to accurate financial reporting, help coordinate accounting workflow across several locations, and provide day-to-day support on procedural and reporting questions.Responsibilities:• Manage month-end close activities for multiple entities, including journal entries, account analysis, and preparation of financial results.• Review balance sheet accounts and complete reconciliations to ensure records are accurate, complete, and supported.• Prepare and maintain general ledger activity while monitoring transactions for consistency with accounting standards and internal procedures.• Produce recurring financial reports for assigned locations and help ensure reporting is completed within established timelines.• Partner with the accounting team to coordinate priorities, improve monthly output, and support shared performance goals.• Respond to accounting-related questions, resolve reporting issues, and apply sound judgment when procedural decisions are needed.• Assist with bank reconciliations and other cash-related accounting tasks to maintain reliable financial records.• Support the accounting setup and closeout of newly added or transitioning locations as business needs arise.Requirements• 3-5 years of direct accounting experience in an accounting environment that requires strong attention to detail.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.• Practical experience with month-end close, general ledger maintenance, and journal entry preparation.• Strong background in account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.• Ability to organize work across multiple entities while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across an accounting team.• Self-directed approach to work, with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.If you possess the above experience and are looking for a great company to continue to grow in your accounting career, please send your resume to Amanda Warren through Linked In today!Job typePerm
