Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Total Fit Physical Therapy, you will be responsible for:

• Providing high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the comprehensive therapeutic process for an assigned group of patients, in coordination with physicians and the patient care team.
• Conducting thorough patient assessments and collaborating to create and implement individualized care plans focused on achieving specific health goals and enhancing patient engagement.
• Delivering or supervising the majority of physical therapy services, ensuring alignment with the established treatment plans.
• Conducting evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice defined by relevant laws and professional ethics.
• Assessing therapeutic and rehabilitative needs while actively participating in the development and execution of complete care plans.
• Providing skilled therapeutic care at patients' homes, employing various techniques to facilitate functional improvements in accordance with clinicians' directives.
• Instructing patients, families, or caregivers in the effective use of therapies, exercises, and adaptive devices outside of therapy sessions.
• Prioritizing patient caseloads and effectively coordinating day-to-day staffing needs and task assignments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population, including both adults and children experiencing musculoskeletal or functional impairment due to injury, surgery, or chronic conditions. You're expected to create individualized treatment plans to help patients regain their strength and mobility, leading to improved quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Texas.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or willingness to obtain it within the first 30 days of employment.
• No prior experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for new graduates eager to grow in a supportive environment.

Preferred Experience
