Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast paced warehouse! Working as a DC Export, you will coordinate and execute the hands-on tasks required for international trade, including product assessment and receipt, quality control, shipment generation and compliance checks. This is an entry level position that will allow you to work closely with multiple internal departments, broadening your knowledge of Fastenal’s product fulfillment capabilities. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 3833 Airport Rd, Denton, TX 76207. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES Receiving, auditing, inspecting, scanning, packing and shipping product while maintaining traceability Operating computer programs and wireless hand held devices Executing multiple receiving, inspection, or shipping requests at different stages Completing required training within the training period Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work Proficient written and oral communication skills Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Work independently as well as in a team environment Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Possess experience in inventory management, logistics or operations Prior experience using basic measuring equipment and inspection tools Prior experience operating a forklift ABOUT US Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
