HR Service Center Specialist

What You Can Expect As our HR Service Center Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and technical HR activities in support of our internal clients (employees and managers) and HR Centers of Expertise. This role will also be the first point of contact for HR inquiries from internal and external clients, responding with a high level of customer service, professionalism, and promptness using our customer relationship management software. You will report to the Human Resources Services Manager. Responsibilities Process new hires from time of job offer through orientation—creating IT requests, ordering and following up on background checks, ensuring all documentation is signed, bonus and relocation funds are processed, employment eligibility, and I-9s, coordinating new employee onboarding sessions. Enter data into the HR Information System accurately, completely, and on time (new hires, terminations, leave of absence). Consistently monitor federal and state leaves, reviewing documents and triaging as needed; monitor and triage ADA/ADAA requests and track progress. Respond to unemployment claims and process tuition reimbursement. Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure temporary and contract employees receive appropriate approvals before starting. Complete other administrative activities, including processing invoices, maintaining compliance posters, auditing processes for accuracy, maintaining electronic and paper employee files, and other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience (at least 5 years in a similar role). Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and experience with HRIS systems. Additional Details Role eligible for hybrid work policy. Must meet attendance requirements and comply with ENGIE ethics and safety policies. High proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to work with a broad cross-section of the organization. Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy. Good critical thinking and awareness of downstream impacts. Ability to focus in an active environment and manage time effectively. Flexible and willing to take initiative. Compensation Salary range: $53,235 - $70,875 USD annually. Compensation may vary based on geography, experience, education, and internal pay alignment. This position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
