This service line is a team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) supporting the Vascular Surgery program at UT Southwestern. APPs work closely with vascular surgeons and multidisciplinary team members to provide outpatient care for patients with a wide range of vascular conditions. Responsibilities include patient evaluation and management, clinic follow-up, care coordination, and support of procedural and surgical workflows, including assisting in the operating room as needed. We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who is collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Acute care experience is preferred, though candidates with a strong interest in vascular surgery are encouraged to apply. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with no call, weekends, or holiday coverage.

Experience Minimum of two (2) years of oncology and/or hematology experience required. Education Graduate of a master's degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program. OR Master's degree or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program. Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population. Licensure and Certification Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification required. Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board. OR Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing. Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing. Current applicable Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association or American Red Cross Life Support certification(s) based on UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.

Job duties include conducting and documenting comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis, including psychological status. Synthesizing data and utilizing evidence to develop, implement, and evaluate the patient plan of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies/results. Demonstrating proficiency in technical/procedural skills, as appropriate and based on specialty and training. Providing relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers related to current care and preventive health measures. Facilitating/participating in quality related initiatives and/or clinical research protocols through planned group processes, workshops, seminars, and staff meetings, to improve clinical and system practice performance. Collaborating in research projects and protocols; and routinely applying evidence based best practices to patient care. Performing other duties as assigned.
