Job Description Travel Physical Therapist – Bowie, Maryland Position Details: Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week (8‑hour shifts) Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Evaluate, develop, and execute plans of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting. Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians). Bill within the facility, following state guidelines and facility policies. Comply with the respective PT board’s rules and state regulations. Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to ensure team‑focused care. Understand and utilize adaptive equipment. Perform ongoing evaluation and create plans of care. Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient condition. Use the medical center computer systems for daily tasks. Document treatment in a timely and accurate manner following state and insurance guidelines. Qualifications Minimum 6 months of experience (1 year preferred; 6 months acceptable for exceptional candidates). BLS certification (2 years required). Must hold a state‑specific medical therapy license. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
