IT Solutions Architect

Position Technology Solutions Architect (SME) Job Details Department: Managed IT Reports To: Director of Technology Solutions Salary grade: DOE FLSA Status: Full Time / Non-Exempt Location: West Texas Job Description The Technology Solutions Architect will primarily meet with new customers, assess potential clients’ networks, and propose a technology roadmap and plan to earn their business. Responsibilities Prospecting – Identify target client profile and establish appointments with C‑level contacts. Qualifying – Conduct initial meeting, determine fit with target profile, set expectations and understand objectives. Assessments – Deploy probing and monitoring tools, gather information, research IT expenses, collect checklist data. Technology Roadmap/Proposal – Devise a plan aligning solutions and budget; create proposal, schedule review appointments, and deliver closing objectives. Tenacity – Continuously advance the assessment/proposal process across multiple clients weekly. Confidence/Relational – Confidently recommend solutions, articulate necessity to clients, and demonstrate strong personal skills for a sales role. Experience & Required Skills Understand common SMB business/technology needs. Strong presentation skills to sell value. Use consultative sales approach and close deals. Minimum of 3 years IT sales experience. Education & Certification Associate or Technical Degree. Bachelor’s in Business, MIS, or equivalent preferred. Physical Requirements Occasional standing, stooping, bending, kneeling. Visual acuity to read printed and electronic documents. Clear verbal communication skills. Regularly understand speech of others. Occasional lifting of 10‑30 pounds. Ability to travel to client sites. Special Requirements None.
