Job Summary
The Greek American Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a per diem basis .
This is an excellent opportunity for a Speech Pathologist who is passionate about helping residents improve communication, cognition, swallowing, and overall independence. As part of our collaborative in-house rehabilitation team, you will provide personalized, resident-centered therapy and develop individualized treatment plans that support meaningful progress, improved function, and a higher quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Educate residents, families, caregivers, and clinical staff
- Collaborate on diagnostic swallowing procedures, including MBSS and FEES
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
- Communicate changes in resident conditions to the care team
- Support restorative nursing and interdisciplinary care initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all professional, legal, and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Active Speech-Language Pathology state license in good standing
- Current ASHA certification
- Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
Per Diem Position
- Flexible, as-needed scheduling
- Opportunity to pick up available shifts based on facility needs and your availability.
