SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

Rochester, IN Area

ISC's manufacturing recruiting team is partnering with an established manufacturer seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Manager for its Indiana operation.

This hands-on role will help develop and strengthen the supply chain function, establish practical policies and procedures, and resolve inventory accuracy challenges. Success requires a leader who works closely with a highly engaged, collaborative executive team and plant personnel.

Supply Chain Manager - Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and strengthen supply chain processes across purchasing, planning, inventory and materials flow.
  • Diagnose and correct inventory accuracy issues, including transactions, counts and controls.
  • Write, implement and reinforce policies, SOPs and consistent shop-floor procedures.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms and ensure material availability.
  • Oversee a $20M-$25M materials budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage materials spending, supplier costs and opportunities for savings.
  • Lead and coach the supply chain team in close partnership with executive and plant leadership.

Supply Chain Manager - Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive supply chain leadership in manufacturing.
  • Steel/commodity purchasing experience and knowledge of manufacturing materials and suppliers.
  • Proven experience developing a supply chain function and implementing new processes.
  • Ability to write, implement and enforce purchasing, inventory and operational policies/SOPs.
  • Demonstrated success correcting inventory accuracy problems and improving controls.
  • Hands-on procurement, production planning, inventory control and ERP/MRP experience.
  • Supplier negotiation, budget management, cost analysis and strong Excel/reporting skills.

Supply Chain Manager - Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish; APICS/ISM certification or Six Sigma experience.

Supply Chain Manager - Desired Profile:

  • Approachable, hands-on leader who builds trust on the manufacturing floor.
  • Confident people manager who coaches, sets expectations and holds the team accountable.
  • Collaborative leader who partners with engaged executives to address challenges and develop solutions.
  • Communicates openly, seeks input and builds consensus rather than operating independently.
  • Approachable, floor-engaged change leader who earns buy-in and follows through.

Supply Chain Manager – Compensation:

  • $80,000-$110,000 base salary + 10% performance-based bonus
