Bay Area admissions professionals at established schools rarely need to recruit. They manage waitlists, staff committees, and steward reputations decades in the making. This position works differently. In your territory, nearly no family knows us yet. Your job is to find them. What You Will Be Doing Creating qualified family demand independently through preschool and feeder-school networks, community collaborations, referrals, and local engagement events. Owning the full cycle personally: initial inquiry, needs-assessment dialogue, campus visit, student shadow experience, enrollment verdict, and family onboarding. Conducting tours, open houses, and information forums where you articulate and defend an AI-enhanced learning model to analytical, questioning parents. Managing 7 or more concurrent family relationships across varying stages, each with documented status and next steps tracked in HubSpot and our student information system. Delivering weekly reports on pipeline strength and conversion integrity, and iterating on local admissions playbooks, FAQs, and standard operating procedures based on market feedback. What You Won’t Be Doing Curating a waitlist. No inherited demand exists here. Escalating enrollment decisions to an admissions committee or tiered approval structures. Following a script or working from a volume-driven cold-call list. Passing a family between multiple coordinators, event staff, and front-desk personnel. Leading a large team or dedicating your week to internal administrative meetings. Associate Director Of Admissions Key Responsibilities Drive enrollment growth at one Bay Area campus with families aligned to the Alpha model. Basic Requirements 3+ years in premium client-facing roles where the buyer was an individual or family at $25K+ per engagement or $2K+ monthly. You can specify the employer and price point; business-to-business or enterprise sales alone do not satisfy this criterion. Direct, individual accountability for an end-to-end client, admissions, or enrollment process: application, needs assessment, offer, decision, and onboarding. What you personally executed, not what your team delivered. Ownership of a quantifiable growth or customer-acquisition metric, including how you sourced leads and cultivated local partnerships to achieve it. Management of 7 or more simultaneous client or family relationships at varied stages, logged in a specified CRM or database. A specific instance of advising against your own offering because it was not the appropriate match. Practical use of AI tools in client-facing operations, such as meeting prep, tailored outreach, conversation documentation, or follow-up workflows. Professional written correspondence with C-level executives or high-net-worth individuals. Current residence in or commitment to relocate within 60 days to Palo Alto, CA, or San Rafael, CA (Marin County). This role is entirely on-site, not hybrid. Work authorization in the United States without need for visa sponsorship. Nice-to-have Requirements Established connections within Peninsula or Marin family communities, including relationships at local independent preschools or feeder institutions. Admissions or enrollment background at a competitive independent K–12 school, or a program with demand exceeding capacity. Experience in luxury hospitality, private client services, concierge medicine, private wealth management, exclusive membership clubs, or premium residential real estate.
