About the Role:

American Cemetery Services LLP is looking for a dedicated and respectful Cemetery Groundskeeper to join our team in at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster, OH. This is a meaningful role where your hard work directly contributes to providing a peaceful, well-maintained environment for families and visitors during their most important moments. Responsibilities:

Maintain cemetery grounds through regular mowing, trimming, edging, and landscaping

Prepare grave sites for burials, including digging, backfilling, and restoration of turf

Plant, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation throughout the grounds

Operate and perform routine maintenance on groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and tractors

Remove debris, leaves, and litter to keep the cemetery clean and presentable year-round

Repair and maintain pathways, fencing, markers, and other cemetery infrastructure

Respond respectfully and professionally to the needs of visiting families and guests

Requirements:

Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or turf maintenance preferred

Ability to operate riding mowers, hand tools, and light equipment safely

Physical ability to perform outdoor labor in all weather conditions, including lifting and digging

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of appearance

Compassionate, respectful demeanor when working in a sensitive environment

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Valid driver's license preferred
