Food Prep Team Member

Food Production AssistantPrepare ingredients to be cooked or used in recipes by washing, cutting, chopping, mixing etc.. This position will be directly supervised by the Kitchen Manager and does require some advanced knowledge of procedures, tools, techniques in food production.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWashing, cutting, chopping, boiling, packaging and stocking of productsEnsure quality of product before it reaches the sales floorDeliver outstanding guest serviceFollow through on all guest questions, requests and resolve concerns as neededFollow and comply with all applicable procedures and regulations, including Weights and Measures, FDA, health and sanitation, Department of Labor, ADA, HAACP, OSHA and safe work practices.Sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper mannerReport equipment issues to Store LeadershipKeep all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotatedLeadership may assign other duties, not listed here.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesAbility to prioritize tasksAbility to handle stressful situationsValues diversityAbility to perform physical requirements of positionProper handling of knives and cutting equipmentAbility to work well with othersGood communication skillsAbility to inspect product for quality and freshnessAble to work flexible schedule based on needs of store including nights, weekends and holidaysQualifications2+ years or more experience in a deli and or bakery departmentGuest Service focusedFood Handler permitWorking ConditionsWalking, standing, bending and stooping for 8-10 hours a dayPush, pull up to 50lbsMental and physical dexterityAbility to climb laddersIteration of dutiesAbility to taste, smell, feel and visually inspect foodUnassisted lifting up to 50lbs or moreWork in varying temperatures
