Home Time: Home every other week guaranteed — most drivers home weekly

About This Role
The Employee Connect is sourcing experienced CDL-A drivers to serve as mentors on a dedicated Sysco fleet based out of Front Royal, VA. This account has a nearly decade-long relationship with the carrier and offers consistent, predictable routes with round-the-clock dispatch support. Earn mentor pay on top of your base mileage while helping new drivers develop on the road.
Route Details
- No-touch freight — primarily refrigerated loads
- Delivery states: MA, CT, NY (Albany and Syracuse — backhauls out of Buffalo), NJ, PA, MD, VA, NC, SC, OH, IN, and KY
- Dedicated maintenance shop onsite at main facility
- Truck parking available at main facility
Schedule
- Home at minimum every other weekend for 34-hour reset
- Most drivers domiciled in Front Royal, VA get home weekly
- Night driving required
- Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire
Compensation
- Average annual pay: $80,600
- Mileage pay plus mentor bonus
- Detention pay
- Safe and On-Time Bonus — up to 3% of mileage pay
Equipment
- Automatic sleeper cabs
- 53-foot refrigerated trailers
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum 1 year verifiable OTR experience preferred for mentor eligibility
- Clean MVR and driving record
- Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days
