Job Title: Production Helper Job Description

The Production Helper will be responsible for tending to assigned machines according to procedure and product specifications. This includes retrieving materials, harvesting finished material, and cleaning and setting up the next spools. The role also involves inspecting all materials placed on machines during setup and the finished material harvested from the machines. Adherence to quality standards that vary according to product specifications is crucial. The Production Helper will assist in various areas within the department and other production areas as needed, ensuring quality work is performed safely within production standards, either with or without direct supervision.

• Tend to assigned machines according to procedure and product specification.
• Retrieve materials and harvest finished material.
• Clean and set up next spools.
• Inspect all material being placed on a machine during its setup.
• Ensure finished material meets quality standards.
• Assist in areas both within the department and other production areas as needed.
• Perform quality work safely within production standards.
• Interact professionally with coworkers.
• Work effectively within a functional group.
• Work independently while communicating effectively and coordinating work efforts with other employees and departments.

• Experience in production, line operation, and manufacturing.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to lift 10-25 lbs. frequently and 25-50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to stand on concrete for an entire shift.
• Ability to walk up ladders or stairs.
• Ability to lift material up to 65 lbs. repetitively using proper lifting techniques.
• Capability to push/pull up to 110 lbs.
• Good attendance.

• High school diploma or GED.

This is an extremely large and climate-controlled manufacturing environment, just under 600k square feet. The role involves repacking small rolls of string, with a focus on teamwork and maintaining quality standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of COVINGTON, KY.

The pay range for this position is $19.55 - $19.55/hr.
