Assistant Chief Supply Chain Officer - Oklahoma City VA Health Care System, Supply Chain Management Service Overview Position is a senior logistics management expert for the VA HCS, a large complex medical facility that includes multiple hospitals, community based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) and other health care activities located in Oklahoma City. Responsibilities Ensuring the logistical requirements of the organization are met. Planning, coordinating and evaluating various operations to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of a logistics program. Managing acquisition, purchasing, transportation, distribution and inventory of expendable and non‑expendable equipment. Overseeing warehouse operations and assisting with budget formulation and forecasting of expenditures. Managing a group of diverse occupations and subordinate supervisors. Participating in environment of care rounds, internal and external quality reviews, and external auditor site visits. Qualifications Time-In-Grade Requirements: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade within the past 52 weeks must meet the time‑in‑grade requirements by the closing date. For a GS‑13 position, 52 weeks at GS‑12 level is required. An SF‑50 documenting eligibility must be submitted. Specialized Experience: One year of experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade of GS‑12 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization, including but not limited to: Logistics program management. Acquisition strategy and administration. Financial management and budgeting. Leadership and human resources management. Planning and evaluating operations. Problem‑solving and technical competence. Preferred Experience: Minimum four years of Logistics VHA supervisory experience in NX, EX, or Acquisition. Physical Requirements: The position requires periods of standing, walking, maneuvering around hazardous equipment, and occasional travel and driving.
