Surgical Technologist – Main OR (Level 4)
Location New York, NY | Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights) | 12-Hour Shifts | Up to 48 hours/week available
Key Responsibilities

Provide surgical technologist support across a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma
Scrub in on surgical procedures in a high-volume main operating room environment
Assist with procedures utilizing Da Vinci robotic systems used across multiple services
Support transplant program procedures involving livers, kidneys, and hearts
Maintain active BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
Required Qualifications

NBSTSA Certification

required, or documented experience as a Surgical Technologist within a healthcare facility for a cumulative period of one year or more occurring within the four years immediately prior to January 2015
Minimum of two (2) years of surgical technologist experience
Must be able to scrub independently
BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma center setting
Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical procedures, particularly Da Vinci systems
Experience across multiple surgical specialties in a high-acuity environment
