IT Systems & Support Specialist

Location: Tupelo, MS

Pay: $22.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

We are looking for a knowledgeable and dependable IT Systems & Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support in a manufacturing environment. This position will assist employees with computer, software, hardware, and connectivity issues while also supporting the company’s IT systems and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience working with Windows-based systems, and the ability to provide professional support to users at all levels.

What You’ll Do

• Provide hands-on technical support to employees through service tickets, phone, email, and walk-up requests.
  
• Diagnose and resolve computer, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  
• Set up, configure, image, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, phones, and other IT equipment.
  
• Install and support Microsoft Office and other business applications.
  
• Create and maintain user accounts and computer accounts through Active Directory.
  
• Assist with VPN access, mobile devices, conference room equipment, and video conferencing systems.
  
• Support network and systems teams with equipment installations, maintenance, testing, and onsite infrastructure projects.
  
• Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and connectivity issues.
  
• Help maintain server rooms, IT equipment, and technology inventory.
  
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including account and equipment management.
  
• Maintain technical documentation and follow company IT security standards.
  
• Stay current with technology and recommend improvements when appropriate.
  

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent relevant IT experience .
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft technologies.
  
• Knowledge of Active Directory and basic networking.
  
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with network and systems teams.
  
• Relevant certifications such as A+, Network+, Server+, Security+, MCSA, or MCSE are preferred.
  

Compensation

$22.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
