Part Time Music Instructor - Audition Preparation Position Title: Part Time Music Instructor – Audition Preparation Position Category: Faculty Position Status: FLSA Exempt Department: Music Working Hours: TBD General Description: SUNY Niagara seeks a part‑time Music Instructor for an Audition Prep course taught in person on the Sanborn, NY campus. The course helps music majors preparing for transfer develop audition material and presentation skills for placement into academic or professional venues. Students refine repertoire, use recordings and video, and reflect on improvements. The course is typically offered in the Fall semester. Remuneration: $1,008 per lecture hour or $903 per lab hour for teaching at least 3 credits in a semester. Responsibilities Teach the Audition Prep course on campus. Track attendance as needed. Report student learning outcomes at the end of the semester. Report grades at the conclusion of the semester. Essential Functions Requires the ability to work with and teach a diverse student population; to speak in front of groups; effectively communicate with students, coworkers, supervisors and the campus community; develop, prepare, and present information; operate computers; physically perform duties of the position and adjust teaching to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act provisions. Requirements Three years of experience teaching at a high school or college level. Desirable Qualifications Master’s Degree in Music or a related field.
