Classroom Teacher LEARN Romano Butler Campus - Chicago, IL 60624 Salary: $59,000.00 – $86,000.00 per year Responsibilities Effectively implement instructional programs and strategic interventions that drive results. Implement instructional activities that follow curricular guidelines and frameworks. Use data to improve instruction and student achievement. Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of students with various academic and social needs. Provide a positive learning environment that promotes critical thinking and supports community engagement. Demonstrate effective classroom management skills that contribute to a positive learning environment. Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment and meet school-wide goals. Maintain a professional working relationship with parents and cultivate ongoing relationships with students' families, staff, and other community members. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal. Qualifications Professional Educator’s License (PEL) in Elementary or Secondary Education with Middle School endorsement. Demonstrated record of living LEARN's Core Values. Preferred: Bilingual. Preferred: 1+ year of teaching experience. Preferred: Track record of delivering gains in student academic achievement. Working Conditions and Physical Demands Teachers work in a busy, active classroom and school environment with multiple simultaneous activities. They supervise all children at all times, may participate in field trips and professional development events, and may need to lift and carry children and equipment. Physical demands include standing, bending, reaching, stooping, walking, kneeling (up to 60% of the day), and carrying 15–40 pounds for short periods. Teachers must also clean and maintain classroom equipment and furniture.
