GIS Technician IUnited Talent is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a GIS Technician I position in the Parkersburg area. All qualified candidates must possess applicable educational and/or professional experience in geographic information systems. This is a contract position that offers a slow but steady work environment. This is an on-site position, with no relocation assistance available.Responsibilities:Working in ESRI systemResearch historical records to organize / manage / and digitizeMap historical pipeline facilitiesMaintain affected compliance systemsCreate area specific maps for stakeholdersLocate and specify future construction areas in the GISUpdate service line information in SAP programUpdate land-base features in GISSystem record analysis to validate MAOP (Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure)Provide customer services associated to our GIS and the information held withinOther duties as assignedQualifications:Fluent computer skills and proficient working with various applicationsInterpersonal and teamwork orientedProblem solving and ability to address multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to handle changing environments and emerging prioritiesVerbal and written communication skillsAnalytical and detail orientedFamiliarity with natural gas pipeline systems a plus but not requiredEducational Focus: 1-3 yrs GIS Experience Preferred GIS, Geography, Geology, Anthropology Job Types: Contract, Full-time Pay: $25.00 per hour Schedule:8 hour shift 7:30-4:00pmOvertimeAbility to commute/relocate:Parkersburg, WV: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Associate (Required)Experience:ArcGIS: 1 year (Preferred)
