Warehouse Associate

Hillyard, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate to join our Operations team in Columbia, MO. Are you comfortable in a warehouse where you're on your feet, moving throughout the day, picking orders, building pallets, and operating material-handling equipment? Do you take pride in building an accurate order and making sure it's ready to ship on time? If you have experience with picking and packing orders, building pallets, shipping and receiving, inventory, or forklift operation, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Build, wrap, and stage pallets for shipment.
• Receive, unload, and put away incoming inventory.
• Prepare LTL and small parcel shipments for delivery.
• Safely operate forklifts and other battery-powered material-handling equipment.
• Move product throughout the warehouse and stage orders in designated shipping areas.
• Verify products and quantities to help ensure order accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work alongside your teammates to meet daily picking and shipping goals.
• Use basic computer systems and email as part of daily warehouse operations.

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping and receiving, or order fulfillment experience.
• Experience picking and packing customer orders.
• Experience building, wrapping, and staging pallets.
• Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience preferred.
• Comfortable performing physical warehouse work throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that is not always climate-controlled and may be warmer or cooler depending on the season.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team.
• Basic computer skills, including email.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
