Position Registered Nurse (RN) ED - Emergency Department (FT Nights) Key Details Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing Employment Type: Staff Shifts: 3 12‑hour nights per week Locations: Farmington & Bonne Terre Campuses, Missouri Compensation: Competitive pay (see career ladder information) Benefits Eligibility: Effective the first of the month following start date Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of nursing standards of care. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on illness/injury management, post‑treatment home care, and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engages in professional development activities. Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient or caregiver. Ensures proactive planning and communication of the care plan across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to care standards. Assesses patient preferences and barriers, including values, emotions, spirituality, culture, and population‑specific needs. Maintains constant state of alertness and safety in a safety‑sensitive environment, ensuring safe work practices. Qualifications Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (No experience required). Licenses & Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license. Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Desired Experience: ED experience preferred; Skills: Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety.
