Your Mission

Travel full-time to client sites nationwide and deliver expert MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, Stick, and Submerged Arc welds to stringent specifications. Bring discipline, adaptability, and craftsmanship to every engagement—and stay on-site as long as the client needs you.

What Success Looks Like

• Welding to procedure: Execute processes in strict accordance with WPS and applicable codes
• Precision builds: Fit-up and weld to drawings, symbols, and tight tolerances
• Quality-first: Perform visual inspections and meet both code and customer acceptance criteria
• Technical judgment: Select equipment, consumables, and filler metals appropriate to the job
• Team alignment: Coordinate with fabrication, QA, and engineering to deliver on milestones
• Documentation & safety: Keep accurate records and uphold best-in-class safety practices

About You

• Experience: 5+ years of verifiable experience across MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Flux-Core (FCAW), Stick (SMAW), and Submerged Arc (SAW)
• Certifications: Current or prior qualifications with the ability to recertify
• Technical acumen: Strong command of welding codes, WPS, and quality standards
• Blueprint fluency: Confident reading drawings and weld symbols
• Materials: Proficiency with carbon steel, stainless, and alloy materials preferred

Representative Code Experience

• ASME Section IX (U, R or PP)
• AWS D17.1 (A, B or C)
• API 1104
• AWS D1.1
• NAVSEA
• Other AWS, ASME or API codes

Onboarding note: Many clients administer weld tests onsite during day one or two.

Preferred Profile

• Background in aerospace, industrial, refinery, or power generation environments
• Comfort with NDE methods (VT, PT, MT, RT, UT)
• Capability to weld in multiple positions

Compensation & Travel

• Rate: $38+/hr, adjusted by experience and project scope
• Per Diem: $125–$180/day (location dependent, tax-free)
• Overtime: Offered as required by client demand
• Mileage: $0.725/mile to the job site (paid on first paycheck)
• Travel: 100% within the United States
• Assignment Length: Open-ended; often 6+ months
• Travel Experience: Preferred, not required
• Commitment: Stay on site through the duration of client need
