About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for University Innovation Initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and management of innovation and entrepreneurship programs, with a focus on building strong partnerships and strategic collaborations. This role requires a leader with a strong business development acumen, the ability to engage with small and medium-sized enterprises, and a talent for promoting the organization at various events. The Executive Director will also be tasked with integrating university assets into innovative initiatives, leading a team, and ensuring the sustainability of the programs through diverse revenue streams. Applicants must have a BS/BA in business (a Master's/MBA is preferred) and a minimum of 5 years' experience in community partnership building. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills are essential, as is a background in fundraising and a proficiency in office and basic computer functions. The role demands a self-starter with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and a proven track record in managing budgets, resources, and staff. Experience in grant writing, particularly with SBIR/STTR programs, and a commitment to the values of the organization, including diversity and equal opportunity, are also key qualifications for this position.
