PT30 Relationship Specialist - North Loop Branch

***This is a part-time, onsite position. 30 hours per week** The Relationship Specialist is responsible for building relationships with current and potential members, consulting on future needs and recommending credit union products and services to meet those needs. The Relationship Specialist delivers a superior member experience to members and potential members of the credit union who interact through branch locations and over the phone. This individual must have a thorough understanding of credit union processes, products, and services in order to effectively communicate the most appropriate solutions to our members. Applicant must have a strong and proven sales background with the ability to meet or exceed established goals in a fast-paced environment. This person may also be relied on to complete teller duties and transactions as needed during the day. Responsibilities Account opening and maintenance while proactively cross‑selling credit union products and services to existing and potential members through in‑person sales as well as by phone and written correspondence. Answer questions and/or resolve complex technical problems on member accounts. Process in‑branch loan requests while uncovering possible lending needs and mining credit reports. Provide service and support for members over the phone, handling both routine requests and those requiring extensive research and problem solving. Take complete ownership of every call. Conduct teller transactions in an accurate and efficient manner. Assist in planning and implementation of branch sales promotion campaigns and perform other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager, such as working on call lists or external activities to bring business to the branch. Comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Experience and Qualifications Minimum of one to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. High school degree or equivalent. Courtesy, tact, trust, credibility and diplomacy are essential. Ability to motivate, influence, educate and advise others on matters of significance. Physical Requirements Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in an emergency, operate routine office equipment, perform computer work for an average of 6‑8 hours per day, work extended hours or travel off site when required, and maintain reliable attendance. Working Conditions Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate‑controlled shared work area with minimal noise. Mental and Emotional Requirements Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision, read and carry out written and oral instructions, complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, use computers and speak clearly. Must deal calmly and professionally with diverse personalities, maintain discretion on confidential matters, handle multiple priorities, and exercise highest levels of discretion on internal and external confidential matters.
