CNC Programmer

CNC ProgrammerCNC lathe and mill setup programmer position available in the Farmington Hills, Michigan area working at our client location who is an established manufacturer.Direct hire opportunity. This is a first-shift position working from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The shop remains open until 5:30 p.m., and overtime is available for employees who would like additional hours. Overtime is not mandatory. Pay rate $38.00 to $40.00 per hour.Key Responsibilities for the CNC lathe and mill set up position:Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and tolerances.Select tooling, speeds, feeds, workholding, and machining sequences.Perform setups, tooling changes, offsets, and fixture alignment.Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and process issues.Make program/process adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.Identify opportunities to improve cycle times and machining processes.Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area.Work effectively both independently and within a small team.Benefits Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and 401(k) with company match.Qualifications for the CNC lathe and mill set up position:CNC lathe setup experience required.Strong set up and troubleshooting skills.Precision and attention to detail.Is reliable and accountable.CNC mill and lathe programming/setup experience required.Strong CNC machining and mechanical problem-solving skills.Okuma experience strongly preferred.Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances.Proficient with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.Trillium has been recruiting and placing professionals for over 30 years.
