Job Duties
Serves as Reclamation's Federal Preservation Officer (FPO) and executes statutory FPO responsibilities, including National Register/Landmark submissions and approvals.
Establishes, maintains, and updates bureau-wide cultural resource compliance requirements and procedures pertaining to the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Archaeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA), Paleontological Resources Preservation Act (PRPA), and related laws.
Provides program direction, technical advice, and training to staff across the Bureau.
Engages Federal agencies, State agencies, Tribal Nations, and national organizations on Bureau cultural resource compliance and technical issues.
Identifies opportunities for program improvement, leads internal control reviews, and oversees corrective actions.
