Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Assisted Living Facility | Le Roy, NY | Full-Time Stern at Home Therapy is hiring a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide maternity leave coverage at an established Assisted Living Facility (ALF) in Le Roy, NY, beginning in October 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA looking for a full‑time, facility‑based assignment with an established caseload . All patients are treated at one location, providing a consistent work environment without the driving and travel associated with traditional home health. The PTA will cover a current clinician's maternity leave and work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to maintain continuity of care. What You’ll Do: As the covering Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll provide one-on-one treatments to patients within the assisted living facility according to plans of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include: Provide one-on-one physical therapy treatments. Carry out individualized plans of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Help patients improve strength, balance, mobility, endurance, and functional independence. Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfer training, and fall-prevention interventions. Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation. Communicate and collaborate with the supervising PT, facility staff, caregivers, and interdisciplinary care team. Maintain continuity of treatment throughout the maternity leave coverage period. Compensation: Full-Time Temporary Coverage. W-2: $30–$35 per visit. 1099: $40 per visit.
