Technical Field Sales Representative

Role Description The Field Sales Representative is a full-time role based in the Northern California SF Bay Area, CA. This position is responsible for managing and growing accounts within assigned territories by visiting customer sites, presenting product solutions, and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with engineering, purchasing, and management contacts. Daily activities include prospecting new customers, qualifying opportunities, coordinating with manufacturers’ sales and technical teams, and providing timely follow-up on quotes, samples, and design-in activities. The role also involves understanding customer technical requirements, recommending appropriate electro-mechanical and semiconductor components, and tracking projects from design to production. The Field Sales Representative will update CRM records, prepare sales forecasts and reports, participate in periodic territory reviews, and represent the company at industry events, trainings, and manufacturer meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in field sales, account management, or business development, ideally in electronic components, electro-mechanical products, or semiconductors.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and explain related electronic applications to engineering and procurement stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with diverse customer contacts.
• Solid organizational, time-management, and territory-planning skills, including effective use of CRM tools and basic sales reporting.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently in the field and collaborate closely with internal and manufacturer partner teams.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
• Familiarity with manufacturers’ representative models, distribution channels, and the relavant customer base is a plus.
