Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to critically ill newborns.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor neonatal patients' medical conditions continuously.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Educate parents and families on newborn care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid state license or compact licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in NICU care.
• Certified in BLS, NRP, and STABLE, with BLS and NRP from AHA preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Meditech.
• Commit to flexible night shifts, including weekends, with availability for overtime.
• Provide current NURSYS report, Qualivis Cover Sheet, and full profile including RTO requests.
