Overview Coborn's, Inc. is looking for a Financial Analyst II – Capital Planning & Strategic Analysis to help shape the future of our growing, employee-owned company. This position plays a key role in evaluating investments that drive long-term growth, including store remodels, new locations, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives. You'll partner with leaders across Finance, Operations, Real Estate, and other business areas to develop financial models, analyze business opportunities, and provide recommendations that influence important company decisions. What You'll Do Lead financial modeling and business case development for store remodels, capital projects, and strategic investments. Support the annual capital budgeting process by evaluating projects, prioritizing investments, and monitoring capital spending. Develop financial models that support business growth, investment decisions, and long-term planning. Analyze store openings, closures, relocations, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives. Conduct post-investment reviews to evaluate project performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Partner with Operations, Real Estate, Accounting, and Finance teams to provide financial insights and recommendations. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for assigned business functions. Monitor operating expenses, analyze financial results, and explain budget variances. Create reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate financial performance and business trends. Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives that support company growth. Qualifications What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred. Two to four years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, or a related field. Experience developing financial models and business case analyses. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, formulas, and lookups. Experience using financial systems and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms preferred. Experience supporting retail, grocery, construction, real estate, or multi-location businesses is a plus. Knowledge of capital budgeting, investment analysis, and financial planning concepts preferred.
