By hiring the best people and helping them grow both professionally and personally, we ensure a bright future for NTT DATA Services and for the people who work here.NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Data lineage analyst with Risk background to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).Skill Set – Data LineagePosition Summary: Data analyst who will support data management initiatives to understand and document metadata definitions, data lineage, data quality controls, data gaps, data sharing agreements and service level agreements and also partner with technology, lines of business, and enterprise data management teams. This position will be required to understand data components and have the ability to trace data elements at origination and as they move between systems including any transformations.The candidate must have strong relevant business acumen, data analysis, metadata documentation, and data quality controls skills specifically with respect to analyzing business process controls, sourcing and provisioning of lineage, and identifying data quality issues and proposing remediation steps. Ideally, candidate should have data management experience and risk, control, and auditing experience. Candidate should be a motivated, self-starter that can operate with limited instruction with exceptional attention to detail. Strong communication and organization skills are a must.Responsibilities include:1. Partner with associates, contractors and consultants from various functional groups (technical, business stakeholders, project managers) to execute the following data management activities utilizing appropriate tools (e.g. Visio, Excel, Power Point, etc.).a. Ability to trace and document data lineage from System of Record (SOR)/Authorized Data Source (ADS) back to Originationb. Ability to understand critical reporting elementsc. Process and control mapping back to an Authorized Data Source (ADS) or approved System of Record (SOR)d. Documentation of key data controls and areas where there may be gapse. Documentation of data sourcing gaps that will require remediationf. Documentation of data sharing agreements and service level agreements with upstream providers and downstream consumers2. Appropriately manage time commitments to handle multiple initiatives with competing prioritiesRequired Skills• Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance, Information Systems Management & Technology, Computer Science etc.)• Significant experience in data lineage and metadata documentation• 5+ years in Financial Services industry with knowledge of finance, accounting, and auditing concepts.• Advanced Microsoft Office suite software skills (Excel, Access, Word, SharePoint, Visio)• Significant experience in data/risk assessments and remediation efforts.• Builds Partnerships - broad-based business relationships across the enterprise.
