PM Technician

Stimson Lumber Company, at our Gaston mill location, is looking to add a PM Technician to their maintenance team. Preventative Maintenance Technicians are responsible for sawmill machine maintenance, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance and oiling. This is a great step towards future advancement in maintenance.Starting Pay: Base pay for this skilled position will start at $27.00 to $30.00 per hour. People with significant knowledge and experience may come in at a higher level.Pay Differential: Shift differentials are paid for swing shift with an additional $1.50 per hour and graveyard with an additional $2.00 per hour.Overtime: This position is eligible for Overtime at time and a half.Healthcare: Stimson pays over 80% of the premiums for healthcare coverage for full-time employees, including medical, dental and vision.401(k): Stimson provides a 100% match on the first 6% of your pay when you contribute to your 401(k)-retirement account.Profit Sharing: Contributions are deposited annually into your 401(k) account for Profit Sharing, up to 3% of your pay.Bonus: This position is bonus eligible and will receive a discretionary bonus in years when the company and location are profitable.Paid Time-Off: Position offers 9 paid holidays and 2 weeks of paid vacation. Paid sick leave is available up to 40 hours per year.Employee Referral program: Earn a $2500-$5,000 for successful employee referrals.Other: Wellness Program with reward incentives; Tuition Reimbursement, Apprenticeships, Career Development; Access to company-owned land for recreation, and more.Responsibilities and Duties:Daily oiling and lubing of machineryMaintaining correct oil levels in all plant hydraulic unitsCleaning and maintaining compressor roomAssisting Millwrights on equipment repairsFollow directions and effectively communicate with all levels of plant personnelYour Qualifications:Minimum 3-months experience or experience in a production plant settingPossess a basic understanding of equipment and oiling required for equipment.Ideal candidate will have the aptitude for learning mechanical skills (hydraulic, pneumatic).Proven ability to follow directions well and demonstrates thoroughness in completing oiling responsibilities.Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand up to 10 hours a day, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, stoop and bend at waist, and move equipment as neededMust be comfortable in year-round outdoor temperatures, loud conditions, with airborne particles (sawdust), and working around moving mechanical equipmentWho is Stimson Lumber?Stimson Lumber is a leader in the forest products and natural resources industry, with over 600,000 acres of forest land and six mill locations across Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
