About the Role ServiceLink is transitioning to AI‑driven code generation, spec‑first development, and rapid, testable product iteration. We’re seeking an AI‑native Engineering Manager who is excited to lead teams using this new engineering model. This role reports to a senior engineering leader and is ideal for someone with proven engineering management experience who remains hands‑on and thrives in a fast‑moving, AI‑accelerated environment. In this role, you’ll help operationalize a development model where product specifications flow through intelligent pipelines to produce daily, high‑quality, testable builds powered by generative AI and automation. You’ll be central to improving engineering velocity and driving measurable productivity gains. What You’ll Do Lead and develop a high‑performing engineering team working in an AI‑augmented environment. Drive adoption of AI‑native practices including code generation, AI‑assisted coding, and rapid iteration workflows. Translate strategic goals into clear, actionable plans in partnership with senior leadership. Ensure strong testing practices, modular architecture, version control hygiene, and system observability. Foster a culture built on speed, ownership, learning, and experimentation. Enterprise Transformation Support Support the cultural shift toward automation and data‑driven engineering. Help shape an operating model optimized for iteration and continuous improvement. Apply architectural patterns aligned with generative AI development. Support tooling efforts including spec ingestion, automated tests, dashboards, CI/CD enhancements, and workflow automation. Collaborate with Product, QA, and business partners to align engineering output with business outcomes. AI‑Driven Productivity Engineering Work with agentic systems, code generation tools, and automated validation workflows. Support guardrails that ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability in generated code. Engineering Metrics & Velocity Contribute to defining and improving key engineering metrics: Automated test coverage and defect rates Deployment frequency and pipeline reliability Team engagement and AI tooling adoption Hands‑On Technical Leadership Prototype reference implementations and foundational components as needed. Troubleshoot complex distributed systems, pipelines, and automation workflows. Organizational Leadership Inspire teams with a clear vision for AI‑driven engineering excellence. Model modern engineering management practices built for AI‑augmented development. Recruit, mentor, and grow engineers who thrive in high‑velocity environments. What Sets You Apart Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture, and scalable application design. Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted development and emerging agentic workflows. Ability to balance technical depth with people leadership and pragmatic execution. Comfortable operating with urgency and building automation‑first cultures. Experience contributing to internal tools and productivity pipelines. Strong engineering fundamentals with recent hands‑on coding experience. Familiarity with AI code generation tools, LLMs, and automation frameworks. Ability to build lightweight internal tools, templates, and workflow integrations. Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, modular architectures, and DevSecOps. Leadership Skills 2–6 years of engineering management or technical lead experience. Ability to coach, develop, and elevate engineers. Skilled in rapid iteration, agile execution, and continuous delivery. Strong communication and decision‑making skills. Mindset Bias toward speed, clarity, iteration, and measurable outcomes. Thrives in transformational, high‑velocity environments. Required Experience Hands‑on engineering or architecture experience in distributed systems or cloud platforms. Experience with AI‑assisted development and productivity tooling. Strong background in automation, DevSecOps, and modern delivery pipelines. Proven ability to drive engineering initiatives and modernization efforts. Experience building or supporting internal tools, pipelines, or automation. Excellent communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
