Assistant Swim Coach

Southern Trace Country Club, located in Shreveport, LA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Seasonal Assistant Swim Coach! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Role Type Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less) Responsibilities Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety. Plan swim practices daily and organize a season plan for the swim team. Assist in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by department manager. Enforce the rules of conduct. Provide lessons in line with WSI or USA Swim Coach guidelines. Organize and support scheduling of lessons and billing with Wellness Director. Attend youth spirit and social functions of the club to help build relationships with parents and interest in swim lessons. Communicate with parents and swimmers regarding progress and improvement. Maintain all necessary records determined by the department manager. Communicate with parents regarding practices, events, and team updates. Show regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED; two to four years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard Certification, Water Safety or USA Swim Coach Certifications. ASCA certification preferred.
