Phlebotomist III - Floater

Phlebotomy PositionPay Range: $17.55hr - $22.55hrRequirement/Must Have:High school diploma or equivalent.Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).Five years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.Keyboard/data entry experience.Must be capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.Ability to provide coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles.Must be flexible with hours and available for possible Saturdays.Responsibilities:Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.Ensure that daily activities of the Patient Service Center/Mobile/Long Term Care/In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.Direct daily activity in a doctor’s office, a patient service center, in a house call environment, or long term care as business needs dictate.Lead one or more staff members on site.Act as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees.Provide effective onboarding services to new clients.Act as point of contact to staff on site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor.Work with customers who have a high complexity and/or volume practice with a specialized focus requiring outstanding phlebotomy skills.Collaborate with multiple functions, such as Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT connectivity, Billing, and Logistics.Skills:Phlebotomy.Pediatric collections.Geriatric collections.Capillary collections.Data entry.Customer service.Leadership.Problem solving.Verbal and written communication skills.
