Senior Architect | Designer

Role Description The Senior Project Architect Designer will be responsible for leading the design and execution of resort residential, multifamily housing, and hospitality projects. The ideal candidate will have an architectural license with a strong creative vision and proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to guide teams, cultivate client relationships, and manage the full complexity of large-scale projects. This position requires a balance of creative architectural expertise and project management skills, ensuring the successful development of projects from conception to completion. Responsibilities & Core Competencies Project Design: Oversee the design and development of complex projects from the programming phase through construction administration, managing all aspects such as schedules, budgets, staffing, and coordination. Creative Problem Solving: Apply experience and creativity to conceptualize designs and resolve design challenges. Collaboration & Communication: Partner closely with clients, the BSA design team, and external consultants, maintaining clear communication and project alignment. Business Development: Support business development initiatives, including participating in client interviews and presentations. Mentorship & Leadership: Function as a mentor to junior team members, fostering professional growth through knowledge‑sharing in a collaborative studio culture. Qualifications & Required Skills Experience: 8–15+ years of progressive experience in architecture, with a strong focus on resort residential, multifamily housing, and/or hospitality project types. A genuine passion for design and creative problem‑solving is highly valued. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Licensing: Licensed Architect in the United States (required). Technical Skills: Proficiency in REVIT and a solid understanding of building systems. Expertise in 3D modeling, rendering, and visualization a plus. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and construction practices. Project Management & Coordination: Demonstrated skills managing budgets, staffing, and developing project plans. Leadership & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage internal teams, consultants, and client relationships.
