Maintenance WorkerMidwest Center for Youth and Families is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join our team! Available Hours: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm or 7am - 3:30pm (40 hours/week) Midwest Center for Youth and Families (a subsidiary of UHS) has been in operation since 1997, serving youth across the country that are in need of psychiatric treatment for a variety of mental health issues. The Midwest Center is a respected healthcare provider, fully accredited, 74-bed private, residential treatment facility with locations in Valparaiso and Kouts, IN. We are dedicated to care of the hearts and minds of our patients with compassion and superior quality behavioral healthcare services through our full-immersion Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program for children and adolescents ages 10 - 18 who struggle with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges. The Patriot Support Program at Midwest Center offers specialized treatment designed to address the behavioral health needs and challenges of the children of active-duty military, reserve, and national guard members. Join us as the leaders providing service excellence to patients, their families and each other!Position Summary: Responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment. This position performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and general maintenance, while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection prevention protocols. The maintenance worker responds promptly to maintenance requests, conducts routine inspections, documents completed work, and assists with facility improvements to minimize disruptions to patient care.
