Position Purpose:
We are searching for a responsible, reliable, and capable Baker to join our growing THB team. Since bagels are our business, the Baker position is crucial to our overall success. As a Baker for THB, you will need to be a dependable early-riser, ready to go by 4 a.m., and will be responsible for producing high quality bagels following THB systems and standards. You will be our Ambassador of Bagels, announcing our hot bagels with energy and pride every time a new batch is ready.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
Manage bagel production from freezer to finished product efficiently, following THB systems and standards
Manage time and daily routine to meet needs at the opening hour and throughout the day (all available at 6 and then hour counts throughout the day to make sure there's always sufficient supply)
Announce hot bagels to team and guests throughout the shift
Maintain and clean bakery equipment to ensure proper functioning at all times

Requirements:
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Basic math and use of timers (production sheet)
Common sense skills with equipment and safety
Ability to remain calm and troubleshoot issues swiftly and effectively
Basic English reading and writing skills preferred
Prior baking experience is a plus

Physical Activity:
Must have the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time. Bending and lifting (up to 50 lbs) are also required.

Working Conditions:
This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment with access to kitchen equipment in tight quarters.
Slip resistant shoes are the standard for the team
Warm and humid conditions (oven and boiler) to be expected for long durations
