What You'll Do As a Prep Cook at Crave Cuisine, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly. Depending on the shift, your responsibilities may include: Prep Shift Responsibilities: Following prep lists created by our chefs. Measuring ingredients and seasonings accurately for cooking. Preparing ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc. Demonstrating basic cooking knowledge (e.g., reducing sauces, parboiling foods). Maintaining a clean and organized prep area and kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of trash. Ensuring all food and supplies are properly stored and labeled. Event Kitchen Assistant Responsibilities: Helping load and unload the catering truck. Following the Chef's instructions on kitchen setup. Assembling hors d'oeuvres and plating entrées and desserts. Assisting with cleaning up the kitchen after events. What We're Looking For We're seeking team players who are reliable, hardworking, and excited to learn. Here's what you'll need to succeed: Required Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience in any food establishment. Wisconsin Food Handlers Certificate (just $9-we'll help you get signed up!). Strong manual dexterity for handling cutting tools and kitchen utensils. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Ability to stay positive and patient under pressure. Good physical stamina with the ability to lift 25+ pounds. Attention to personal hygiene is essential. Bonus Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
