• Number of Beds: 20
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Equipment: IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG Machines, Bladder Scanner, iMobile Communication Technology

Staffing and Scheduling

• Staffing Description: Tech support available on both day and night shifts; Unit secretary is on duty from 7 AM to 7 PM.
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts of 12 hours per week, including 2 weekends (total of 4 shifts) per 4-week schedule.
• Floating Policy: Contract labor is the first to float; staff will rotate when multiple contract labor personnel are scheduled.

Patient Care Expectations

Staff members are expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and their family members. This includes conducting bedside shift reports, forming personal connections with patients, and involving patients and their families in care plans.

Certifications and Skills Required

• Required Certifications: Active RN license, BLS certification.
• Requested Skill Set: Med/Surg experience, ability to prioritize care, multitasking skills, competency in starting IVs, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
• Advanced Skills Needed: Not Applicable.

Documentation and Dress Code

• Documentation System: Meditech.
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs, both tops and bottoms.
