Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring flexibility across multiple surgical service lines and participation in call and weekend shifts.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room unit
• Supports multiple service lines including General, Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics surgeries
• 13-week assignment with a scheduled shift of 09:00-21:30
• Requires flexibility to work weekends
• Requires participation in on-call rotation

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days of start
• Primary source license/certificate verification required with copy of state-specific registry

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrub duties, including prepping the OR and positioning patients for procedures
• Complete Safe Surgery checklist verification and maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Serve as communication liaison between the surgical team and patient families
• Delegate and supervise team members while executing urgent interventions as needed
• Assist with control and maintenance of surgical supplies and equipment
• Demonstrate computer proficiency for patient care documentation systems
