Our dedication to excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction ensures that we deliver high-quality solutions to the industries we serve.We are seeking a motivated Territory Sales Manager – Elevator Industry in Chicago, IL, to expand our presence within the Midwest elevator market, develop new business opportunities, and build lasting relationships with elevator contractors, service providers, and industry professionals.Position SummaryThe Territory Sales Manager – Elevator Industry will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share within the elevator industry, with a primary focus on elevator wire rope, hoist ropes, compensation ropes, and related rigging products. This position will develop and maintain strong relationships with elevator installation contractors, maintenance & modernization companies, and other key industry customers.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical outside sales, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to identify opportunities within the elevator market while providing knowledgeable, customer-focused solutions.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute territory sales strategies to expand Lift Solutions' presence within the elevator industry and increase Midwest market share.Identify and pursue new business opportunities with elevator contractors, installation companies, maintenance providers, modernization contractors, and other elevator industry customers.Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while developing new accounts and long-term business partnerships.Promote and sell elevator-specific products, including elevator hoist ropes, wire rope, compensation ropes, and related rigging products and accessories.Identify opportunities for elevator rope replacement, modernization projects, new installations, and ongoing maintenance requirements.Achieve and exceed established sales goals while maintaining a focus on profitable territory growth.Conduct market research to identify key accounts, industry trends, competitors, and potential growth opportunities within the elevator market.Develop a strong understanding of elevator rope applications, product specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements to serve as a knowledgeable resource for customers.Collaborate with internal teams, including Wire Rope Fabricators, Warehouse Personnel, Branch Managers, and Operations, to ensure product availability, accurate order fulfillment, and customer satisfaction.Conduct customer visits, jobsite meetings, product presentations, and sales calls to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.Provide product information, pricing, quotes, availability, and lead times to customers and prospects.Support customers with product selection and technical inquiries, coordinating with internal resources when necessary.Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, opportunities, and account information within the CRM system.Prepare sales forecasts, territory updates, and activity reports as required.Represent Lift Solutions at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and increase brand awareness.Stay informed of developments within the elevator industry, including emerging technologies, modernization trends, and applicable safety standards.Education and ExperienceCollege degree preferred but not required.3–5 years of proven outside sales experience required, preferably in B2B or industrial sales.Previous experience selling into the elevator industry, including elevator wire rope, elevator components, or related products, strongly preferred.Established relationships with elevator contractors, maintenance companies, or modernization providers are a plus.Experience with CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.QualificationsStrong understanding of the elevator industry, including elevator rope applications, installation, maintenance, and modernization needs, preferred.Proven ability to develop new business, establish key accounts, and grow an assigned sales territory.Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, high level of integrity, and results-driven mindset.Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to understand technical product specifications and communicate product benefits to customers.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple accounts and sales opportunities.Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and building long-term partnerships.Ability to work collaboratively with internal operations, fabrication, warehouse, and leadership teams.Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.Valid driver's license required.
