Assistant Controller

A well-regarded, long-established Chicago-based PE firm with $30B+ AUM is looking for a professional to step into a leadership role within its Finance team. This is a high-visibility position with meaningful scope, a competitive compensation package of $150k-$200k base plus a significant bonus, and a flexible 4-day hybrid schedule. Responsibilities Review quarterly financial statements and NAV closes across a portfolio of private funds, including complex and illiquid asset valuations, fee calculations, and expense allocations. Serve as the key liaison to external auditors throughout the year, leading on complex transactions, technical accounting conclusions, and annual audit requirements. Supervise and develop a team of fund associates responsible for portfolio transaction processing, accounting records, and day-to-day reporting. Oversee capital call, distribution, and treasury processes in collaboration with the Fund Controller, and support investor inquiries on complex or technical matters.
