Events/Relocations Specialist

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Events & Relocations Contractor to support our facilities team. You’ll play a key role in setting up corporate events, executing office moves, and installing workplace furniture—ensuring smooth, safe operations with minimal disruption. This role is on-site and will require overtime and occasional weekend work. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, reconfigure, and tear down event venues, furniture, and basic AV equipment.

• Execute office relocations and assemble/disassemble furniture and IT assets.

• Assist with deliveries, vendor coordination, and storage room organization.

• Provide excellent service, track assets, and keep work areas safe and clean.

Qualifications:

• Experience in facilities operations, event setup, moving, or logistics.

• Ability to handle physical labor (lifting, moving heavy furniture and equipment). 

• Strong team player with great customer service and time management skills.

• Commitment to workplace safety and confidentiality standards.

Responsibilities

Event Logistics & Setup

• Prepare, configure, and tear down spaces for events, meetings, training sessions, and corporate functions.

• Install physical event elements, including tables, chairs, stages, signage, and audio/visual equipment.

• Organize and maintain event inventory, supplies, and dedicated storage areas.

Relocations & Workspace Reconfiguration

• Execute office and workspace moves for employees, contractors, and entire departments.

• Assemble, disassemble, move, and install office furniture, fixtures, and general equipment.

• Transport and position IT and office hardware, including computers, monitors, phones, and file cabinets.

• Help conduct workspace audits and track office furniture inventories.

Operations & Vendor Coordination

• Assist with incoming/outgoing deliveries, pickups, and third-party vendor activities for events and moves.

• Collaborate closely with Admin Facilities to support project and operational workflows.

Project Delivery, Safety & Service

• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work zones across all active sites and storage areas.

• Provide regular project updates and complete tasks according to set timelines.

• Provide high-quality customer service while adapting to shifting business needs and priorities.

• Comply with all corporate safety standards, security policies, and confidentiality requirements.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 30lbs
• working up to 4 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
