This contract position starts in mid-August and runs through mid-May, offering consistent hours over the traditional school year. You'll work directly with one student, providing vital support and helping ensure their success and well-being in the classroom.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a Paraprofessional, ideally within elementary or K-5 settings
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and families
• Compassionate, patient, and able to adapt strategies to meet individual student needs
• Must possess relevant paraeducator credentials or meet local standards for paraprofessionals
• Ability to work onsite throughout the assignment period

Key Responsibilities:

• Work 1:1 with an assigned elementary student, supporting classroom participation and learning goals
• Implement individualized accommodations as outlined in the student's educational plan
• Promote positive behavioral strategies and help foster student independence
• Assist with organization, transitions, personal care, and other needs as appropriate
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate observations to the educational team
