Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience for a travel contract assignment in New Lenox, Illinois.
Job Details
Specialty: CVICU
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to similar units
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients
- Care for post-operative open-heart surgery patients
- Monitor hemodynamics, ventilators, and vasoactive drips
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and recovery
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN License
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience
- Open-heart recovery experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required (no declinations accepted)
